Terms of Use for the Sydcare Healthcare Management System

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Sydcare platform. By using Sydcare, you agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please stop using the platform immediately.

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Sydcare Healthcare Management System (“Sydcare”, “Platform”, “System”), owned and operated by Sydenis ICT Limited. By accessing or using Sydcare, users agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Definitions

Platform: Sydcare software system.

User: Any individual or organization accessing Sydcare.

Hospital/Institution: Healthcare providers using Sydcare.

Patient: Individual whose medical data is processed.

Administrator: Authorized system managers.

3. Eligibility

Use of Sydcare is restricted to licensed healthcare institutions, authorized medical professionals, registered patients or guardians, and approved system administrators. Unauthorized access is strictly prohibited.

  • Laboratory Information Management System (LIS)
  • Pharmacy management
  • Billing and payment processing
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Telemedicine services
  • Healthcare analytics
  • Device/analyzer integration system
  • Patient and family dashboards

5. User Accounts

  • Provide accurate information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of login credentials.
  • Notify Sydcare of unauthorized access.
  • Ensure accounts are not shared unlawfully.
  • Sydcare may suspend or terminate accounts that violate security policies.

6. Data Ownership

Patients retain ownership of their personal health data.

Hospitals act as primary data controllers.

Sydcare acts as a data processor providing infrastructure services.

Sydcare does not claim ownership of patient medical records.

7. Data Processing

By using Sydcare, users consent to processing personal and sensitive health data, storage of medical records and laboratory results, secure transmission of healthcare information, and integration with third-party systems where applicable. All processing complies with applicable data protection laws.

8. Confidentiality

Sydcare ensures strict confidentiality of patient medical records, laboratory results, financial data, and user credentials. Users are also required to maintain confidentiality of patient data.

9. Security Obligations

Sydcare implements encryption, role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, secure cloud infrastructure, and audit logging. Users must not attempt to hack, access unauthorized data, reverse engineer the platform, or exploit vulnerabilities.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

  • Do not use Sydcare for illegal activities.
  • Do not access data without authorization.
  • Do not share patient data externally without consent.
  • Do not interfere with system operations.
  • Do not upload malicious software.

11. Third-Party Integrations

Sydcare may integrate with laboratory analyzers, external hospital systems, payment providers, and API services. Sydcare is not responsible for failures or breaches originating from third-party systems.

12. Service Availability

Sydcare aims for continuous service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or zero downtime. Maintenance and updates may cause temporary service interruptions.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sydcare is not liable for indirect damages and is not responsible for medical decisions made by healthcare professionals. Users assume responsibility for clinical decisions and outcomes.

14. Termination

Sydcare may suspend or terminate access if Terms are violated, security risks are detected, illegal activity is suspected, or regulatory compliance requires it. Users may discontinue use at any time.

15. Data Retention

Medical records are retained as required by law, system logs are retained for security monitoring, and backup data is securely stored and rotated.

16. Modifications

Sydcare reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including applicable data protection and healthcare regulations.
